Skinny Water Boats at 895 Pebble Beach Drive, Oil City, Pennsylvania.

I called Skinny Water boats 8-5-17 to learn about their boats and set up a time to take one for a test drive.
Some of the questions I asked:
1. How long they had been in business (she said 2 years)
2. Approximately how many boats have they have sold (I was told nearly 100)
3. Have they had any warranty issues (I was told 4).
4. Was their design an off shoot of the Mini Jet (I was told this no, their design is 100% original from the ground up and that the founder & owner of the company is an engineer at Joy Mining Company)
I was then directed to their authorized dealer to set-up a demonstration.

Later that day of 8-5-17 I received a return phone call from a Skinny Water Boats representative asking why I called, why did I ask those questions and accused me of trying to steel information so I could go into business and compete against them.
To say the least I was absolutely flabbergasted!! I am amazed that a company would have the audacity to call a potential customer and make these type of unfounded accusations & assumptions.

The person that called me back said they "googled" my name & phone number and found out that I worked for a manufacturing company, so I guess if you work for a company that manufactures toothbrushes you must have plans to go into the boat building business?

Skinny Water Boats are asking $26,500 U.S. dollars for these boats, for this kind of money I thought it would be prudent to pick up the phone and ask some pre-purchase questions, I have since learned they don't feel comfortable answering any in-depth questions about their product.

My take away from this experience: Buyer beware and I seriously doubt they will be successful with this approach. I will not even consider them or their product.
